Fairtrade fortnight
Monday 27 February to 11th March
We have a soup and roll lunch in Holyrood Hall after 11 am Sunday mass for Traidcraft and Fairtrade tea or coffee in the Hall after 11 am Mass on both Sundays. Please come to the Fairtrade coffee morning in the Holyrood Hall on Monday 27 February. Look out for the Fairtrade label on tea, coffee, bananas and so on in the shops, as well, so as to support some of the world's poorer producers.

St Patrick's Night Celebration
Friday 16 March
This will be a Plate to share and bring along whatever you want to drink occasion. We also need entertainers: Poetry - Song - Dance - Monologue - Stories - Instrumental or anything that will entertain. Please let the Social Team know what you would like to do. Admission by £1 Raffle Ticket, on sale after mass at St Saviour, from members of the Social Team.

Great progress is being made in preparing for our day at the Verbum Dei Centre. This is now confirmed for Saturday 12 May: please make sure that date is in your diary. Pastoral Council Members will speak about this at our weekend masses of 17th/18th March. For now, just plan the food you wish to prepare from your own national cuisine to share with everyone else.

Significant Wedding Anniversaries (attendance by invitation)

The annual Diocesan Significant Anniversaries Mass and Reception will take place at 11 am on Saturday, 16th June at St Bede's, Basingstoke for those celebrating their 25th, 40th 50th, 60th and 60+ wedding anniversaries in 2012. Attendance is by invitation, so if you are celebrating an anniversary as above, or know anybody who you think might like to attend, please contact Eileen Stephenson on marriagemass@portsmouthdiocese.org.uk or telephone 01329 835 583.

Lenten discussion groups - Tuesdays and Saturdays
There will be weekly opportunities to read and reflect on the Sunday scriptures. At St Saviour the discussion follows adoration at 7 pm on Tuesday evenings, finishing at 9 pm. Deacon Peter will kindly lead these sessions. At St Thomas Fr Gerard will lead on Saturday afternoons at 5 pm. Everyone is welcome.
Way of the Cross and Soup Lunch for CAFOD - Wednesdays

Lenten Brunches - Saturdays
Churches Together in West Wight Lenten Brunches, prepared by each of the Churches in turn, they raise money (about £6000 in 2011) for CTWW charities, provide a great social occasion and lots of interesting food.

Discussion Group
This follows Mass at 7:30pm. The group started as a Lent group and was so successful that it was continued after Easter.

"Could you not watch one hour with Me?"
A group meets in St Saviour Church between 7pm and 8pm on Tuesday evenings for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, praying for the intentions of the parish, the Church and the world. If you can't spend an hour, come for a shorter period of prayer and reflection. There is a cup of tea and discussion of Sunday's afterwards if you wish.
